The first week of January I travelled to San Antonio to attend Imaging USA 2017. An amazing three days of program speakers, expo, meeting up with old friends and meeting new one, plus three days of Pre-con classes. All day classes taught by some of the best in the photographic work place. Who knew I would be on this road, traveling with so any amazing photographers, the same road that so many had travelled before. Who knew that fountains would freeze because of the sub-freezing weather San Antonio would receive two of the days I was there...and who knew I would be at Mission San Jose at 8:30 am photographing in those freezing temperatures with a half a dozen others with Jamie Hayes leading the group.
I had such a wonderful time with old and new friends! I also was awarded a Gold Medal (my second one) for having al four of my print comp images merit and having two of them loaned...
This is what I loved about Imaging 2017!!!!
I hung out in airports, flew in a few planes (thank you #southwestairlines), watched the sun set, had a great view from my room, learned a lot from Lindsay Adler, met Lindsay Adler, hung out with my friend Pete #peterezacphotography, went to Mission San Jose on the COLDEST DAY EVER with Jamie Hayes at the helm. Hey look, there is Pete, larger than life!!! I watched the master, Tim Kelly, at work - AMAZING!!!, watched my friend Alexis rock his program on lighting - Killer! Watched the sun set and the sun rise, hey, there's me with my merit and loan images. I ate great food, slept very little, learned A LOT!!!
I am still trying to remember everything! So much amazing information!
