This was my first adventure with Professional Photographers of California ( PPC). A trip to Yosemite with some old friends (Pete and Jim) and new, I think there were around 25 of us. The workshop was lead by Dennis Hammon and wife Cherri and attended by a number of the folks that I knew from PPC like Marcy, Robin and Michael, and then I met a number of folks that I had spoken with over the phone or via email and was able to put their name with a face. So much fun, but so exhausting! Three houses were rented to house all of the attendees and we would meet at the main house for dinner. Our house had seven people in it. We were up at 3:45 and out of the house by 4:30 to get to our sunrise location which was an hour drive from where we were staying. By mid afternoon everyone was ready for a nap. Still, so much fun!
Yosemite was so amazing! I have been there before, when the rivers were flowing, but never like this. The thunderous roar from across the valley floor was amazing. The weather was a bit iffy, and it did get a little on the chilly side, with snow falling at higher elevations and a lot of low clouds/fog. If you waited long enough, beautiful light would happen. What a great time with amazing people! I can't wait to meet up with so many of you again!
