April 13, 2019 was the very first EVER Animal Image Makers Conference (AIM) which took place in Minneapolis, MN. Twin Cities Professional Photographers Association (TCPPA) hosted the event and it was a HUGE success! With approximately 250 attendees we pretty much took over the Hilton in Minneapolis who handled the crowd and dogs with great service and smiles.
The AIM Conference included a print competition on the 13th with Pre-Con classes taking place at the same time. The Opening Ceremony took place Saturday evening with hors d' oeuvres and drinks, followed by a fantastic Dog Fashion Show. Volunteers created amazing costumes for the pups that walked the red carpet strutting their stuff (including my sister Susan who created costumes for two big dogs based on Downton Abbey)! Sunday was the first full day of AIM and it was awesome with Kaylee Greer and Sam Haddix of Dog Breath Photography giving a fabulous and inspiring Keynote. This kicked off the AIM Conference with a BANG! With multiple speaker sessions to choose from, everyone was off to their class of choice.
There you have it...a conference captured I photos! What a great time! I cannot wait to do it again!
